STEP 1
Create an account

Start by creating your account. Provide your name, surname, and email address. You will receive a confirmation email to verify your email address. Once verified, your account will be ready, and you can proceed with the Visa on Arrival process.

STEP 2
Prepare your documents

Make sure you have the following documents ready:
• Passport (obligatory): Must be valid for at least six months.
• Passport scan (obligatory): A maximum size of 2 MB, in PDF, BMP, JPG, JPEG or PNG formats.
• Portrait photo (obligatory): Neutral background, in color, with a maximum size of 2 MB, in BMP, JPG, JPEG or PNG formats. Click here to follow ICAO photo guideliness.
• Flight ticket scan (optional): A maximum size of 2 MB, in PDF, BMP, JPG, JPEG or PNG formats.

STEP 3
Complete your application

Fill out the required details in the Visa on Arrival application form.

STEP 4
Pay the Visa on Arrival fee

After completing your application, proceed to the payment section. Accepted payment methods include Visa and Mastercard.

The Visa on Arrival fee (USD 102.5) is non-refundable.

STEP 5
Receive application status notification

Once all details are submitted and your payment has been completed, you will receive a payment confirmation email together with the receipt. Please note that the banking process may take time, so please check the status of your application.

STEP 6
Receive your Visa on Arrival confirmation

After successful processing and approval by the authorities, you will receive a confirmation email with an attachment (PDF with QR code). You will need to present this at the airport upon arrival. We strongly recommend that you print it. Alternatively, you can show it on your mobile device.

STEP 7
Collect your Visa sticker

At the designated Visa on Arrival counter at the airport in Liberia, present your printed confirmation letter with QR code. An immigration officer will assist you with biometric data collection (fingerprints and face recognition). Once completed, you will receive a visa sticker in your passport.

The Liberia Visa on Arrival (VoA) allows travelers to obtain a Visa upon arrival in Liberia by plane. Travelers must pre-apply for the visa online through a dedicated portal, enabling them to complete the application from the comfort of their homes.

Upon arrival at the airport, travelers present the Visa on Arrival confirmation form, complete the application process through biometric data collection, and receive a visa sticker in their passport. A Visa on Arrival is valid for a single visit only.

Travelers do not need to apply for the visa in advance through an embassy or consulate.

To be eligible for a Liberia Visa on Arrival, you must:

  • Hold a passport valid for at least six months from your entry date.
  • Have a recent passport-sized photo available.
  • Be traveling for tourism, business, or transit purposes.

Ensure you meet all these criteria before starting your application.

Liberia Immigration Service (LIS) reserves the right to decline a visa application.

We recommend applying at least 7 days (but not more than 30 days) before your departure to allow sufficient time for the validation process. Please note that the Visa on Arrival is valid for a maximum of 30 days from the date of issuance.

The Visa on Arrival fee costs USD 102.5 and is non-refundable.

Visa on Arrival is currently available only upon arrival at the Roberts International Airport (ROB) in Monrovia, Liberia.
